I read a book this weekend that really made me want to praise God. I read “The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven” by Kevin and Alex Malarkey. This is an incredible true account of divine intervention in the life of a 6 year old boy, his family, church, and thousands who prayed for them. (I will not tell you more as I don’t want to spoil it.)
I was reminded that there is more going on in this world than we can see. That angels are here (by authority of God) to protect us and help heal us. And demons are here to mess it all up and bring us down, keeping us from God. That angels are fighting a spiritual war on our behalf with the demons.
Then I was reminded that we have to participate! We cannot take a back seat. That it takes not only our belief or faith in God and Jesus, but it takes daily, hourly, minutely (I know this is not a word, just go with it!) focus on Him and in prayer. That God is working all around us and we need only stop and listen to see Him.
God is faithful. He hears our prayers and answers them. I know, He has answered mine many times. I know that at various times I have been under attack. I know He has sent angels to calm me and fight for me. And victory is always His! He may not always answer prayers the way we would want, but we cannot know His big plan for us and we must trust in Him.

Father in Heaven

Upon finishing this book, I spent an hour in the car singing praises to Him, weeping, with my hand up towards heaven. I’m not sure what passing cars were thinking, but as they went by I was hoping they would find a reason to praise Him too!
Read the book and lift your voices and hands to Him. For He is Awesome!
