When I stop to think about who I have been and who I am today, I am always amazed. Can this really be my life…wife, mother of three, teacher, and most importantly a daughter of Christ? Yes, that’s me.
My husband, Jim, was an answer to my prayers. Literally! I spent months praying to God during a time in my life when I felt so alone. And being faithful, He always answers prayer! When I first saw him, I heard God whisper in my ear, “There he is, there is the man I have picked out for you.” And He didn’t disappoint. He delivered just what I had prayed for…a hard working, honest, and faith man. I am so blessed!
Heath is my oldest boy, now 18 years old. He is a bit of a late bloomer, but has grown into a man I am proud to call son.
Ein is 13. He is strong-willed and stubborn, but gentle at heart. He is all boy. I can’t wait to see how he turns out!
My youngest is Emma who is 10. She is a bit sassy and can hold her own against her two older brothers. She is much like me, part girl and part tomboy.
Me? well I like lots of things…I enjoy growing a garden every year and putting up the fruits of my labor to help feed us. I grow a lot of my own spices. I like mowing the grass. Yes, mowing the grass has been my sanctuary. It is a time I can be alone. I put my Ipod on and sing praises to God (no one can hear my terrible singing over the roar of the motor!). I enjoy getting lost in a good book and have trained my family not to bother me while reading. I love cooking and baking, often trying new recipes I have seen on TV or from cooking magazines. The only sport I love playing and that I am good at is bowling. Nothing stands in the way of my bowling night.
I have many wonderful people in my life who has helped shaped who I am today. They have loved me, taught me, and supported me in many ways.
